I just came across Ms. Larisa Porter and her tutorial named “Threads That Bind Us”. The same is available at SecretsOf.com – (click on “Everything for Embroidery” — Designs — Designers G-Z — Threads That Bind Us).
Ms. Larisa Porter has had a variety of interests like singing, playing the guitar and designing web graphics. Her love for arts resulted in a fruitful embroidery business which combined her love for quilting and designing. Her biggest accomplishments stem from watching her pencil drawings turn into colorful designs as her embroidery machine stitches them out.
Just recently, Larisa devised a ‘Piece in the Hoop’ (which is part of the master tutorial “Threads That Bind Us”) with an embroidery design – Once finished, we will end up with a complete, pieced quilt block, just like the one beside this post. One can follow the very detailed, pictorial instructions to learn how to ‘Piece in your Hoop’ by using the Crazy Patch Block design included.
